Lifestyle portraits with a nutritionist – and the random tricks you learn
Recently I shot with a nutritionist, who asked me to take some lifestyle portraits for her website, and we arranged to meet up at London Bridge. It’s my No. 1 favourite area for portraits, since it offers all kinds of backdrops: from busy, urban scenes (around the underground & trains) to casual walks along the Southbank; you can cover it all within a twenty-minute walk.
The area of Southwark is dotted around with over three hundred well-lit cafés and restaurants plus there is the popular Borough market, which is London’s oldest market, serving the locals for 1000 years. There is a special buzz about this place (unless the market is shut!) any time I go there, I feel alive.
Shooting with ‘health experts’ also means that I get my weekly dose of self-development; the tricks I hear just makes me want to run home and try them all myself. What I learned this time, is how to find my dosha (my composition of body and personality traits)… Based on the wisdom of Ayurveda, there said to be three constitutional types; wind (vata), fire (pitta) and water (kapha).
